Good hinges are rated for ≥ 100,000 open-close cycles with damping—doors close silently. Ordinary ones loosen, droop and squeak after 30,000–50,000 cycles.
Imported mainstream brands and top domestic lines both reach high cycle counts—the key is whether the rating is real and the hardware actually installed, not just claimed.
Choose three-section full-extension slides with damping: they pull to the end without sticking and return smoothly. Cheap slides derail within half a year.
Gas struts (flip-up doors), casters, handles—same principle: check load rating and smoothness of motion.
Open and close a cabinet door ten times by hand: watch for stutter, noise, and whether the damping actually catches. Real hinges carry a brand stamp—bare blank plates are a red flag.
