Decision guide
The short answer: yes at the source, with a neutral guide. But “cheaper” depends on what you compare against.
A sofa in a big Lecong mall typically carries 20–30% of display rent and sales commission in its sticker price. When you “bargain to the floor” in a showroom, you are often still inside the retail band.
At a Longjiang source factory, the same model with the same materials is quoted ex-factory—no display layer. A full-home order budgeted at RMB 80,000 in showrooms can often close in the low 60,000s at source. The gap of one to two tens of thousands of yuan dwarfs one day of our fee.
Free guides earn rebates from factories, so their incentive is that you spend more. A flat-fee guide has no such conflict—every yuan negotiated off is yours.
A real case: a client negotiated a sofa set down to RMB 32,000 in a Lecong showroom, feeling victorious. At the Longjiang factory making that same model, the ex-factory price was RMB 26,000—RMB 6,000 saved, equal to a week of our fee. Worse, the showroom contract said “solid wood frame”; at the factory the same frame turned out to be MDF with veneer.
Ask to enter the workshop: look for cutting scraps on the floor, stitching stations, work in progress. A space as clean as a showroom with zero production traces is almost always a reseller.
Compare like with like: same material, same craftsmanship, same dimensions. Cross-tier price comparison is a trap you dig for yourself.

Showroom retail typically carries 20–30% markup over ex-factory. On a full-home order the gap is often one to two tens of thousands of RMB.
Usually the opposite. Free guides earn from rebates and markups, so the price you get already contains their cut.
Because the sticker price contains showroom rent and commissions; even a bargained price often stays within the retail band.
First-time visitors to Lecong, buyers who cannot judge materials, and anyone buying big-ticket sets (sofa, beds, wardrobes).
